VISTA REAL ESTATE

Vista is a bedroom community located east of Oceanside and Carlsbad in North San Diego County. Vista is a mix of old and new built on hills and mesas with many view homes. There is a good amount of open space giving the city a country feel and appeal.

Vista offers about 12 parks (some very large), local shopping plazas and stores including Wal Mart. Vista is 45 miles to downtown San Diego although a commuter rail to San Diego can be picked up in nearby Oceanside. If all goes well, rail service between Escondido and Oceanside will begin in 2005.

In 1997 Vista was named one of the 50 best places in the Nation to raise children. Children attend Vista Unified School District where scores rank well above the 50th percentile. Vista runs a traditional school year schedule.

When you shop for homes in Vista, choices will run across the styles of 40 years. Many if of the older streets lack sidewalks which gives Vista a country flavor.
