SAN DIEGO REAL ESTATE
San Diego is the seventh most populated city in the country with a resident median age of 33. Children and teens under 18 make up 24% of the city's population. The geography of the San Diego city limits is confusing at best. San Diego includes land south of Chula Vista to the Mexican border moving north and inland the limits snake up to include Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo and east of Escondido to include the wild animal park.
San Diego is both metropolitan and suburban. It is building thousands of apartments and condos in its downtown and thousands of homes in its suburban areas. The City includes some of the poorest neighborhoods in the city and some of the richest. Crime and school scores vary and depend upon demographics.
Most schools are within the San Diego Unified School District but San Diego children also attend schools within such districts as Poway, South Bay, Sweetwater and San Ysidro.
