ESCONDIDO REAL ESTATE

A bedroom community located off of Interstate 15, Escondido translates to "hidden valley". Escondido is the fourth largest city in San Diego County and boasts of gorgeous mountain views atop flat to rolling hill terrain.

Escondido boasts of five golf courses, local lakes stocked with trout, bass and catfish, a dozen parks, a library, arboretum, a farmers market, an ice rink with youth and semi pro hockey and an ambitious performing arts center. Interstate 15 is the main thoroughfare through town but State Route 78 also runs through Escondido. Escondido also is home to North County Fair which is the largest indoor shopping mall in the County and contains, Nordstrom, Sears, Robinsons May among other nationally recognized stores.

Escondido is served by the Escondido Union Elementary School District and the Escondido Union High School District. Elementary schools are run on a year round basis. Middle and High Schools are run on a traditional basis.
Escondido also has a low crime rate.
