EL CAJON REAL ESTATE

El Cajon is an inland city about 12 miles from the ocean along Interstate 8. Largely, El Cajon is a blue collar city and middle class suburban. The name El Cajon translates to "the box" and much of the city is built on the valley floor surrounded by hills which makes for pleasant viewing.

One of the larger towns in the city, the median resident age is just 32 years. Those under 18 make up 28% of the population.

Kids attend schools in the Cajon Valley elementary school district and then move up the Grossmont High School District as teens.

El Cajon boasts of 9 parks, four swimming pools, a miniature golf and amusement area, four nearby golf courses and a general aviation airport. El Cajon also has a performing arts center.
